Bill Schult builds one-of-a-kind pieces meant to be used, lived with, and enjoyed. There’s a sense of ease in the work—balanced, steady, and comfortable in a room—but never ordinary. Each piece is a challenge. He pushes himself with contrasting woods, unexpected details, and the right hardware—tracked down, repurposed, or reimagined—until it feels right and carries a bit of edge.

A lifelong sailor, Bill's work is shaped by a deep connection to the water. He has sailed solo around the world, and that experience shows up in the details repurposed boat parts, weathered materials, and a respect for craftsmanship that has to hold up under real conditions.

His approach comes from a lifetime of working with his hands and learning along the way. No single method defines the work; whatever skills are needed, he brings them in.
